How are the coaching programs structured?
During our first session together, we’ll schedule in all the remaining meetings.
Each subsequent session builds on your learnings and challenges from the previous session, which is why the sessions are relatively close together. Experience has shown that longer periods in-between significantly decrease the effectiveness and power of your work.
I’m a process-oriented person. I like a clear step-by-step process that I know we’ll follow from the beginning. Your process seems less structured; what if I don’t get what I want out of it – there’s so much that’s unknown? After all, I’m investing a lot of money.
We will cover all the critical issues – and more! We begin with an intake – a data dump. You will complete a set of questions before we meet that are designed to better define the issues you are facing. For the Dive Deep intensive program, we will go through a more intensive and thorough intake that cover much more, and better support your process of deeper change.
The intake begins the process of identifying the issues we’ll cover. Then, based on what we discover during the intake, we begin to address the issues.
You will find that whatever is going on in your life at the moment will touch on these larger issues, so that dealing with them in our sessions will be relevant to your life, and will positively impact you going forward.
There’s a saying “The way you do anything is the way you do everything” – attributed to Martha Beck. Once we successfully tackle one issue, a lot of other related issues melt away.
By the end of the program, you will have the tools and knowing to handle these core issues. A big part of it is to learn to trust the process.
I’m pretty wound up and – yes – desperate. I’m afraid the program won’t be enough and won’t help, and I’ll have to start over. It feels scary and hard.
My background, training, education, experience as a therapist and healer, and as a senior business woman means I bring a lot to the table. I’ve been through it. I get it!
Whatever you get from this program will support you to a better and more balanced life. You will have to commit to the process, and work at it. Nothing worth anything comes easy.
And having said that, when you’re complete with the program, you will be in a better, more powerful place than when you started. You won’t have to start over.
How many hours should I set aside to do the course?
If you’re interested in Diving Deep, you will also be working with the online program Burning the Candle at Both Ends. On average, each of the 8 modules takes 20 to 30 minutes to view, and the homework can take 10 minutes or longer, depending on how deeply you get into it. The effort you put into the modules will contribute to your understanding and success of the entire program, so it’s important that you do the work. How and in what order you do them is up to you.
Once you’ve completed the modules, the homework will be based on the new challenges you meet. This kind of work is like peeling an onion: once you’ve removed one layer, the next layer is revealed.
The same is true for you: for most of us, we built our habits and ways of living at an early age. By the time we reach adulthood, they are inside practically everything we do. It takes work and commitment to really uncover the big ones, and transform them into new habits and ways of living that work.
As with anything worthwhile, it takes work. And, as with anything at all, what we put into it will determine what we get out of it.
What if I can’t follow along with the weekly schedule?
You may find that you simply aren’t able to set aside the time each week to watch the video, or do the homework. Life happens and we can’t always do what we planned.
Or, you might be the kind of person who does things differently – like watching everything at once, and then deciding which parts you want to focus on.
This program is designed to support you and your needs, whatever they may be. Go at your own pace. Create a schedule that works for you. There is no “right way” to do this, except that it works for you. The schedule we make together can change.
Is the course for me if (busy, already meditate, etc)?
The one thing that is true for anyone who is worried or stressed is we are busy and have no time. And yet, part of why we don’t have time is because we are stressed!
You will learn many diverse ways of dealing with your particular issues, some of which you may already have in your life. Even so, the practices introduced in this program are specifically designed to support you in developing a healthier, self-powered lifestyle, so they may be an addition to what you already have.
My advice, and one I use myself for anything new, is this: bring to this program an attitude of “beginners mind”; instead of thinking “I already know this” and skip it, open up to the possibility of seeing how you can incorporate the information into you life in new ways. I find that keeping myself open in this way always brings new insights and new learnings that I otherwise would have missed.
The time you devote to the program may seem like a lot, but I’m curious … when I’m panicking, I can spend hours playing solitaire. Sound familiar?
I promise you! The time you devote to your own self-growth will ultimately contribute to your overall energy and well-being. In fact, you might find you suddenly have more time, because you no longer need to spend time worrying.
This course is expensive. How do I know it won’t be a waste of time?
Yes! This program is definitely an investment. But if you want to free yourself of the stress, worry and immovability of right now, and be what you know you can be, that takes time, commitment, and – yes, expertise.
Compared to other similar programs, this is one of the most reasonable priced on the market. Other programs with this level of content and contact are double the cost, or higher.
If you believe in yourself – as I believe in you – and are committed to getting that life you want, then it takes investment. Nothing worthwhile comes for free.
Everything we invest in is a calculated risk. It’s important to have a conversation with Maryanne to make sure you like her coaching style. It isn’t for everyone. She will challenge you. Read the testimonials – they are from real people who have worked with her and have a life they never thought possible.
You can too.
