You are! Uniquely interesting! We all are because we have something unique to offer that no other creature on Earth has. Just like every other thing in the universe, we are special and have something special to offer.
We are not boring. We are truly worth being with. But, sometimes it feels like the opposite: we feel ignored and rejected, belittled. Sometimes we own it, as if it were somehow our fault, when the only part of it that’s truly our fault is believing that it’s our fault.
There may be some people out there who don’t find babies, dogs and cats interesting. It may be you on certain days, and on those days, it might be because you are too preoccupied to notice this creature beside you who is 100% interested in you!
Babies, cats, and dogs – if we let ourselves be 100% with them, can teach us how to interest others – by being present and focused on whatever and whoever is with them. 100%.
